Stage Three Labor: The Let Down

Is it just me, or does the last bit of labor and delivery sound just a tad anti-climactic?

Like "Congratulations, here is the baby you just pushed into the world. Yay! Uh, but before we forget, we're going to have to ask you to squeeze out some organ meat."

Maybe when I give birth I'll congratulate myself for doing such a good job pushing out the placenta.

"Yay! Way to go! Freshy fresh flesh!"

  1. After the birth, make them set up a bull's eye for the placenta. Practice beforehand, perhaps with steaks.
