In the Absence of Content, Enjoy Dinoquilt

Or you could call this post "Tooting my own horn 'cause someone's got to toot it!"

You can't see it, but I 'hand embroidered' little E.'s name on Dinoquilt, which was sewn for this chick right here. Or for her baby, I guess. But I bet he doesn't care at all *sob!*

  1. It's adorable! I wish I could sew. I do have a machine, have yet to learn how to use it.

  3. @Teresha Don't worry, something like this? All squares and straight lines. It's just about the easiest sewing project there is! For quilts with squares, I've never used a patter - just winged it. Do you have a local sewing place? I do, and they have "sit &sew" where for $5 you bring your machine and a project and there's an instructor there to help you. I started from scratch - she had to show me how to thread my machine, etc.

@JRM Thanks :) I bought the gray stuff and the dino backing at the local sewing shop (which is also where I learned to sew) but all their cotton is pretty high profile stuff, as in it's not hard to find online. And the big Boynton dinos were part of a pillowcase I had as a little kid.

  6. Those are so cute! I love quilting, I'm making one for my daughter right now and should probably be working on that instead of visiting blogs, lol.

Thanks for visiting my blog on my sits day. You were set as "no-reply blogger" so I couldn't respond to your comment, but wanted you to know I appreciated it.
