I'm going to assume we're all in the same boat and have eaten way too much candy (pilfered from our children's Easter baskets) over the past few days while exercising too little. I loved this past weekend, frankly. Best Easter yet! Grabbing all of the peanut butter eggs from P.'s egg hunt haul may have something to do with my Easter high. We went to a local Easter egg hunt, then family rolled into town and we colored eggs and very belatedly celebrated P.'s fourth birthday with a way too late dinner out. That night, the Easter bunny made up baskets and hid eggs so they'd be right there when P. woke up.
Of course, she picked that morning to sleep in! The mister and I were up first and champing at the bit to get things going because we were so excited. He even started making lots of noise on purpose to wake her up. Finally, she wakes up, passes all the eggs until she got to the stairs and was all "EGGS!" From there, we had an indoor egg hunt, then an outdoor egg hunt with a second round of baskets since I guess the Easter bunny accidentally brought treats to NY, too.
As much fun as Easter is when you are a kid, I think I like Easter when you have kids even better - even if I have only reluctantly embraced the bunny. Here's what our Easter looked like, in no particular order at all.
What fun things did your family do for Easter?
