A Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake to Make a Baby Dance

Have I mentioned that this is one active baby? Probably not, since even the BabbyDaddy didn't know that it was doing hundreds of somersaults a day until my last prenatal appointment. Up until recently, I haven't been feeling maternal enough to acknowledge FutureBabby tap dancing on my bladder. Now that things are looking brighter - and I'm working on upping my enthusiasm for this pregnancy - it's kind of fun when the inevitable breakdancing starts.

Let's see... FutureBabby was doing acrobatics at about 3 a.m. last night. Right before I went to bed. And as I was reading to P. before she went to bed. FutureBabby is a night owl, I think, and likes to sleep in because the first movement I feel in the morning only comes after breakfast. What does FutureBabby want for breakfast? A chocolate milkshake. What does FutureBabby actually get for breakfast? Something like a chocolate shake, but healthier.

Here's my healthy chocolate shake recipe:
Put everything but the soy milk into the jar of a Magic Bullet or other small blender. Add enough soy milk to fill up your jar. Blend, either until smooth or if you're like me, until frothy. If you want, use sugar free chocolate syrup or leave out the syrup altogether. I plan to do that next time to cut down on the (2R,3R,4S,5S,6R)-2-[(2S,3S,4S,5R)-3,4-dihydroxy-2,5-bis(hydroxymethyl)oxolan-2-yl]oxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol ... aka, sugar.

I've been drinking these healthy shakes - okay, healthyish because yeah, they're awfully sweet - in place of breakfast a lot and being that the recipe is a bit on the carboriffic side, they make FutureBabby dance its little tushy off every time. Yum.
